We only have so much space for landfills. Do we really want our beautiful country full of disgusting, rotting rubbish most of which could have been recycled or reused?
As well as recycling, dropping rubbish is another major issue in Britain just now. I watched BBC’s Panorama: “Our Dirty Nation” a few weeks ago and was saddened to learn that it costs us more than £1 Billion a year to clean up litter in the UK. This is money that we as taxpayers are paying for! It is money that could be put to better use such as providing improved health care or education for our children.
So before you throw your rubbish away, stop and think: how could I re-use this? Could someone else benefit from it? If we all did our little part, the overall impact would be huge!
